DR. M.H. KOGUNA(CHAIRMAN)
Dr. Mohammed Hassan Koguna is a self made man who passed through
the ranks after joining United African Company (UAC) in 1955. He
rose to GM in UNIC (a subsidiary of UAC) before retiring into
Private practice. His main area of interest is insurance and he
was Past President & Fellow, Nigerian Corporation of Insurance
Brokers (NCRIB), Council member & Fellow Nigerian Insurance
Institute, Director, Continental Re, Chairman, Koguna Babura
Insurance Brokers Limited.
He has other business interests which include, Vice
President & Council Member, Nigerian Stock Exchange, Director,
UACN (Oldest Company in Nigeria), Director, Nigeria International
Bank (member Citigroup), Chairman CAPL Plc., Chairman, Costain
(WA) Plc, amongst others.
Dr. Koguna was conferred with the title of Durbin Kano by the
Emir of Kano, Alh. Ado Bayero. He is also Honourary Consul,
Republic of Turkey. Dr. Koguna was awarded a Doctorate Degree in
Business Administration (Honoris Causa) by the Enugu State
University of Science & Technology (ESUT). He is a Nigerian.

SULE
UMAR BICHI (Managing Director)
Sule is a graduate of Accounting from Bayero
University, Kano.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a member of the Institute of
Directors. He also holds a Masters Degree (M.Sc.) in Economics
from the Lagos
State University. He worked briefly at Aminu Ibrahim & Co. as
well as at the Board of Internal Revenue in Kano before joining
UAC Nigeria Plc as a Management Trainee in 1988 from where he
was seconded to Unilever International Audit.
crossed over to ICON Ltd (Merchant
Bankers) as Treasury Officer before joining Comet Merchant Bank
where he rose to Head their Foreign Operations in 1995. Sule
worked as Operations Manager with UBA Kaduna South branch from
where he joined Red Star Express in 1998 as the Assistant
General Manager Finance. He is currently the Managing Director and a member of the Audit
Committee and Finance & Budget Committee. He is also a
Director, Red Star Communication Support Limited. He is a

OLUMEKUN(Executive Director
Sales & Marketing)
Muyiwa is a graduate of History from the
University of Ibadan. He worked with MAMSER and DHL. He joined
Red Star Express in 1992 as Assistant Sales Manager. He worked
his way to the top serving in various capacities such as
District Manager, Commercial Manager, Assistant General Manager
and General Manager at different times all over the country. He
is an Alumnus of Lagos Business School.
Presently, he is the Executive Director,
Sales & Marketing and a member of the Strategy & Business

MR. ISAAC OROLUGBAGBE (Non Executive Director)
Mr. Orolugbagbe holds a B.Sc. from the University of Ife (now OAU). His career
commenced in 1985 as an Audit Trainee in Olatunde Ayoola &
Company, Lagos to Bola Sadipe & Company in 1987 as an Audit
Senior Consultant. Mr. Orolugbagbe joined DHL in 1991 as the
Treasury Controller. From where he moved to Red Star Express in
1994 first as Audit Manager from which he rose to the position
of Assistant General Manager, Finance in 1996.
He was the immediate past Managing Director of Red Star
Express, a position he left 2007 after 10 years. He is a
Fellow Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN),
Fellow Institute of Directors, Fellow Chartered Institute of
Marketing, Alumnus Lagos Business School and Witts Business
School, South Africa. He is also a Director, Red Star
Communications Limited, Director, Thomas Wyatt Nig. Plc. and
Director, Beta Computers Limited. He is a Nigerian.

MAZI SONNY ALLISON (Non Executive Director)
Mazi Allison is the lead founder of Red Star Express and was
the Pioneer Managing Director of the Company from October 1992
to April 1995. Prior to this period, his professional career
started in 1987 at the British-American Tobacco Company Limited
where he served for a period of 10 years in various capacities.
He thereafter joined DHL International Limited in 1987 where he
worked for 5 years and resigned as Country Commercial Manager
(Anglophone West Africa) in July 1992 to set up Red Star
Express.
He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and
member Marketing Association of Nigeria. He holds a B. Sc. (Hons)
Business Administration from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Mazi Allison is the Chairman of the Finance & Budget Committee
as well as a member of the Strategy & Business Development
Committee. He is a Nigerian.

MR. OLAYEMI PETERS (Non Executive Director)
Mr. Peters is an accomplished Legal Practitioner and
businessman. He is versatile in various aspects of the Law
with special bias for Corporate Practice and Litigation. He
owns his own Law Practice in the center of Lagos and has
successfully prosecuted some cases up to the Supreme Court. He
has substantial interest in Parkcity Homes Limited and the
Mountgrove Limited, which are property investment companies
with large property portfolio in the Lekki axis of Lagos State
and the Federal Capital, Abuja.
He graduated with an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Ife (now OAU) in 1982 and
was called to the bar in 1983. Mr. Peters is the Chairman of
the Strategy & Business Development Committee. He is a
Nigerian.

MR.
KINGSLEY ECHEBIRI (Non
Executive Director)
Mr.
Echebiri trained in the then Auditing Firm of Egunjobi,
Sulaimon & Co. in the mid 70s.
He
has spent the last 24 years in the Insurance Industry, having
joined Koguna Babura Insurance Brokers Limited Management Team
since 1982 as Company Accountant. He held various positions
including Group Financial Controller, before his appointment as
Executive Director (Finance), a position he holds to date.
He
holds a Masters degree in Business Administration. He is a
Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and
an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of
Nigeria.
Mr.
Echebiri is a member of the Finance & Budget Committee as well
